Armen Agajanian's narrative is painted with bold strokes: born to Armenian parents in Iran 1979, he spent his early years immersed with the vibrant and cultured people of Persia, who titrated between multidisciplinary regimes, art and religious expression.

War and revolution made it quickly apparent his parents the need to start a new life in America, with a belief that anyone, regardless of where they were born or social class they belong to, can attain their own version of success in a society. What followed was a year-long journey to the US, seeking an unlikely path of political asylum in India.  This is where Armen’s mom, dad and sister spent enduring days on trains and rickshaws, adapting to a culture and language as foreign as any, yet admiring elegant staples such as Bollywood, cricket, and street weddings. 

Los Angeles 1987.  A new life took hold.  The next 20 years, Armen was immersed in a culture cocktail, finding love in art, design, classic cars, tennis, fashion and movies.  His naturalistic talent only evolved through his adolescence years to form the basis of woodworking.  

In pursuit of transcendence, he moved to NY in 2008, where he spent over a decade absorbing the essence of fluid process, structured design and disciplined work ethic. 

A personal style was developed in DESKOR (est. 2024), one that encompasses functionalism merged with contemporary qualifications. A brand that forms environmentally focused, modern furniture aimed at giving space meaning again. 

Today, Agajanian’s penchant for perfection and centered vision imbues his creations with a linear approach to furniture design. His effortless ability to make bold, forward-thinking choices has led to the creation of a timeless desk.
